performative joy

Progress: 10%

Performative Joy is an exploration of artificial intelligence and the representation of human emotions.

Focusing on AI-generated portraits, the project examines exaggerated depictions of "joy"—characterized by wide smiles, visible teeth, and unnervingly distorted features.

Through digital and tactile manipulations, it tests biases embedded in AI systems, offering insight into how machines  (mis) represent our emotional landscapes.

happy hallucinations

Happy Hallucinations explores the vibrant joy of imperfection and the instability of memory through AI-generated portraits of exuberant people.

Using glitches, memory-like blurs, and reconstructed visuals, the project transforms errors into creativity, reflecting how happiness arises from the interplay of beauty, error, and fragility.

Both optimistic and hallucinatory, it celebrates resilience and humor against life's chaos, both human and digital.

FUZZY LOGIC OF FEELING

 Progress: 15%

fuzzy logics of feeling

This project explores the transformation of human emotions across digital and physical realms.

The project traces the evolution of emotion from structured code to synthetic AI interpretations and finally to tactile, handcrafted forms.

By examining how technology distorts emotional states through algorithmic bias and ambiguity, Fuzzy Logic reveals the instability inherent in our emotional landscapes.

Through layered mediums and a focus on transition, the work invites reflection on how emotion is shaped, translated, and reimagined in the interplay between human and machine.
